Radisson Hotel Papirfabrikken Silkeborg is set in a former paper mill by the Gudenå River, near Silkeborg Museum. The hotel offers free internet and parking. The room was nice, breakfast was good, but the bath/shower facilities were really bad… the hot water turns on while you’re standing in the cold water that comes first, and then turns on again over the high edge. The tub and floor were slippery, very impractical, and the cleaning ladies seemed to miss the seams because they didn’t come there often enough.

Perfect, we needed nothing and the staff was extremely helpful, but room 101 is on an elevator that lacks sound insulation, which was the only disappointment.

The staff was OK, the shower was OK, that’s it in sum. The beds were terrible, very uncomfortable, my back hurt like hell in the morning. You also have to consider that not all your guests are young and athletic. The toilet seat swung, the toilet was too low, the breakfast was terrible – there was nothing to eat. I have never had such a terrible breakfast in Danish hotels before. In sum – terrible value for the money.
