There was ample parking, a good breakfast, a decent shower, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The interior was dated.

“absolutely awful, have made a complaint and awaiting response”

The place was awful, feeling like something out of an American horror story. It was extremely dirty, with the door facing a forest, carpets that were extremely dirty and sticky. The bed was dirty, full of stains and blood stains, with a lot of cobwebs and spiders. I had another room but it was still below standards. I tried to find another hotel in the area but everything was booked because of an event, so I didn’t sleep much and it was very noisy.

“My stay at the Raceby hotel was fair.”

The hotel was just a 10 minute walk from my destination, which made everything a lot easier. I could park my car in the hotel car park, which was a big help. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The cooked breakfast was great and very filling. The room was only fair and the décor felt a little outdated. The staff kindly left me some mugs and tea and coffee, but the absence of a kettle made it a bit hard to make a drink, especially after my long journey.

The location was good for what I needed and the value was decent. You get what you pay for – it felt very much like a motel. The first room I was assigned had not been cleaned after the previous guests – rubbish everywhere and the bed was unmade. I was then sent to a different room that was at least clean and made up, though it was a bit shabby and dated.

The place was clean, functional, and in an ideal location. Nothing to complain about.
