“Never again”
Nothing good to say. This was the most unprofessional hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and it was so overpriced that I stopped using Booking and booked my next holiday with another service to avoid being scammed like I was on my Italy trip. The reception desk was rude and unprofessional. I had come to Rome for Bernini and missed the Bernini Barberini exhibition because the hotel staff argued and sent my blood pressure through the roof. They got angry at the cleaning lady and at me for asking for a sheet change. They expected us to roll in and sleep in wet sheets at night! They didn’t even have proper duvet covers, just a folded blanket in sheets, which made for a very unhygienic situation since all the guests’ skin touched the same blankets! I got hives on my legs because of this place and had to see a doctor and use steroid cream! They gave us the worst room that wasn’t even properly cleaned or maintained. The room wasn’t maintained, so the walls and the shower were dirty (not the cleaning lady’s fault – they need to fix the bathroom and paint the walls).
“Good value for money”
The hotel’s location, room size, the kind and helpful receptionist, the cleanliness, and breakfast were all very good for a 3* hotel. The downside was that there were no towel hangers or a shelf in the bathroom, and no soap holder in the shower – these cost pennies and it’s unclear why they’re missing. The alley leading to the hotel is dark and unfriendly at night.
The size, comfort, and cleanliness of the room were good, and the location as well! The elevator was a bit of a problem.
Great location and friendly, helpful staff.
“Perfect stay in Rome”
We stayed in the annexe building and it was lovely. The location is perfect with everything you need right outside the building – great restaurants, bars, and Piazza Navona at the end of the pedestrian street. Our room was clean, modern, and had good air‑conditioning, which was much needed in August. We didn’t dislike anything. The room is on the second floor, and the elevator doesn’t stop there. We found that if you go to level 2 in the lift, you can walk down half a flight of stairs and arrive at the apartment entrance, which is much easier than walking up after a long day exploring.
