The host is helpful, patient, punctual, and pragmatic. The room and bathroom are well sized. There were towels and a shower. The price‑to‑value ratio is unmatched; I would return. A kettle in the kitchen and liquid soap in the bathroom would be nice, but those are small details.

The gentleman handing over the keys was very kind, explained the technical details (keys, building, etc.) clearly and the check‑in was quick; even though it’s a shared flat, personal privacy is still achievable. The kitchen comes with a starter pack. The location isn’t convenient – it’s on top of a hill, after several uphill walks. Sure, Trieste is on hills, but walking there with luggage is tiring. It was cold, but there was an extra blanket provided. The building needs urgent renovation; walls are peeling and marked, furniture is old, there are no lamps on the nightstands, only a lamp that you have to pull close to avoid turning around in the dark after turning off the main light. The room is dark and the mirror is placed on the floor in the darkest spot. The double bed has two single mattresses, so the seam is noticeable. The shower has no enclosure, just a curtain, and the fixtures are old.
