“Direct aan de Nijl”
Nice, good air‑conditioning and a beautiful location, they’re very flexible and friendly, respond quickly to messages, very quiet setting. The accommodation is hard to reach; it’s on the west side of the Nile and difficult to get to by car (the last stretch is on foot). In agreement you can be picked up or dropped off on the east side of the Nile in Aswan by your own boat, but that has to be arranged on site, so it’s somewhat limited if you want to go to the center of Aswan.

The spot is very tranquil, an oasis after Giza, plenty of mangoes and fresh water, Maghrabis is a well‑kept guest house and the owner’s friendliness made us feel at home, we even attended a wedding dance, the real Nubian village, the people were very pleasant and helpful, they ferried us to the city in their own boat no matter how many times we asked, I’d spend all my holidays here again. The only downside was staying just 2 days.
