The room was comfortable, everything was in good condition, and the space was generous; the staff were very friendly and overall it was very cozy. However, there was a lot of noise—late‑night chatter from other guests that carried through the walls, and at 3:30 am neighbors from other rooms made a lot of noise; fortunately that was only one night, the next evening was much quieter and I could sleep.

The host was amazing and took the time to talk to me about the local language, the history of the Basque Country, and their struggle for independence. The rooms were clean and spacious, the shower was hot with good pressure, and there was a great shared dining area where coffee and tea were free. The price was very reasonable, the location was central, and it was next to a grocery store. The town is well built, a small tight community with its own unique language and customs. I would definitely stay again and it was far more reasonable than Bilbao prices! The downside was that other guests were smoking cigarettes in their rooms; I’m not sure if that was allowed or they were just jerks.
