I met the genuinely warm hosts, John and Paulina, who served a breakfast full of produce from their own garden—bananas, mangoes, and freshly squeezed orange juice. The place feels peaceful with a stunning view of Carro Tusa, and I appreciated that you can pay by bank transfer or cash, though credit cards aren’t accepted. I also adored their dog Luna. I would have liked to stay another night, but the hike made me rush to leave.

Everything was really cool. The hotel was nice, and we could bring our pet. Watching the horses and the little pony made the experience better. We had to leave, haha.

The staff are super friendly. The place is very quiet, the estate is lovely, the horses, the mountains—all very pleasant. It’s close to Parque Comfama Cerro Tusa, so it’s perfect for those heading up the mountain, and also near Venice for a quick coffee. I couldn’t turn off the warm water (I didn’t find how and didn’t ask), so with the heat it would have been nice to have cold water for the shower.
