Mangrove Dongdaemun

The room was absolutely perfect, with plenty of cleverly designed storage spots throughout, even cabinets and shelves in the bathroom for cosmetics, clothes, and other items. Everything was very well thought out, making the stay incredibly comfortable and convenient.

The location was very good, and the check‑in and check‑out process was simple. The room was clean and the reservation communication was good. Check‑in was only allowed from 15:00, and even a few minutes earlier the system wouldn’t let me in. At times it was noisy, with a neighbor’s cough audible, and the bed creaked.

The location was handy with both bus and train nearby, the facilities were excellent, and the clean kitchen and free laundry made it ideal for a long stay and remote work; the café downstairs offered cheap morning coffee, which was a nice perk. The only downsides were that housekeeping only came after several consecutive nights and having to scan a QR code every time I used the elevator was a bit annoying.

Other guests should practice some manners, and the requirement to lock everything behind a QR code and make reservations makes it hard to use the facilities.
