“When I come back, I’m staying here again!”
This place is an absolute gem. Mark has thought of everything you could possibly need for an adventure, from bikes and kayaks to snorkel gear. The lodges themselves are perfect for a local vibe, and I couldn't be happier with my time here.
I was a bit worried that the location might be a drawback, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The room was great, with a comfy bed, and the outside kitchen and bathrooms were very nice and charming. All you need to cook, and the setting in the mountains is really good. Plus, having a bike or scooter makes it easy to get around, and if you like the calm and nature, you'll love it here.

The beach is just a 15-minute drive away, and the staff were super friendly. Just be prepared for some furry visitors - the cats and dogs are always dropping by for a chat.

We stayed in a stunning location that was truly inspiring and relaxing. Surrounded by nature, we felt completely at peace with no neighbors in sight. The owner, Mark, even lends out kayaks, masks, and snorkeling gear, as well as surfboards and bikes. The only downside is that you'll need a way to get around, whether it's a scooter, bike, or car, to explore the island and visit the nearby sites. But the views of the sunset, snorkeling spots, and surfing areas at Haapiti make it well worth it.
