The bar area is beautiful, even though it’s already dated. It’s far from a five‑star hotel. The rooms have carpeted floors, the staff are polite, and the bar is not open all the time. For me that would be three to a maximum of four stars.

The offering does not match a five‑star hotel. The warm dishes were sometimes missing (re‑filled) and only lukewarm. The cheese counter is not up to expectations (too small, not re‑filled, visually challenging). The hotel calls itself a gourmet kitchen, but that means something completely different to me than a bourgeois kitchen. In the indoor pool the thermostats for water regulation are not ok (too hot, not adjustable). In the room the toilet door jammed, the carpeted floor in front of the bathroom was cleaned, but it was still damp during the 4 days at departure. The minibar was empty, switch covers were missing, the safe instructions were unusable, and below the bedroom there was a ventilation or heat pump that sometimes ran at night, etc.

Good food, friendly staff, several pools, one inside. Parking is scarce. Too many stairs, and the walking distances are too long for people with mobility issues.

The thermal landscape is very nice. The saunas are varied but many are quite small, so it can get pretty tight in the afternoon. The rooms are nice and spacious. The breakfast buffet is very diverse – almost everything is available. Only the cheese selection could be improved, not just industrial cheeses but also farmer’s cheeses that can be cut yourself. That’s complaining at a very high level.

The rooms were huge, the pool was spectacular, and the food was, at the very least, good.
