The location was perfect for experiencing Ometepe’s jungle. I woke up to birds and monkeys, the view was amazing, and the whole farm felt quiet and peaceful. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The on‑site restaurant opened at 6am, which was convenient. The hotel is a bit off the main road, but you’re right at the base of Maderas volcano and close to a beach for sunset. I’d recommend a guided tour there – it was the highlight of my time in Nicaragua. The guide explained the finca’s history and identified birds, animals, plants, and insects on our hike. I had a lovely experience. The hotel isn’t luxury, but the simple living added to the magic. Each room was clean, had a bug net and fan, and the beds were comfortable and clean. The only downside was that the bathroom didn’t have soap for hand washing.

The property is beautiful, right at the trailhead for the Maderas volcano and Peteoglyphen. The garden is gorgeous and the balcony view of Concepcion volcano at sunset is perfect. The rooms are spacious, there are plenty of clean bathrooms. The whole place feels a bit dated and a bit abandoned, but the friendly staff made up for it. Breakfast is great, with lots of choices and everything tasty. The staff are very friendly, and you can buy the coffee they grow yourself.

A very pretty spot, surrounded by nature, with plenty of peace and beautiful views. The location is great if you plan to climb Maderas volcano. The staff are super friendly and provide tasty dinner and breakfast. The security guard is very pleasant. It’s an old finca and can feel a bit scary at night. It’s far from restaurants and the city center. Because it’s in nature, there’s a wide variety of wildlife inside and outside the rooms. Despite that, everything was clean and nice. If you’re traveling in a group, I highly recommend it – we would come back, the pros outweigh the cons.

The place is stunning—a former coffee plantation turned colonial farm perched on the slope of Volcano Madero, with a decadent vibe, a huge porch, wooden deck, hammocks, and amazing views of Volcano Concepción. The sunset over it is beautiful. It’s right at the start of hikes to the volcano, petroglifs, or the coffee plantation experience. Expect no modern gadgets; that’s part of its charm—sleeping in the wooden rooms feels like time travel. It’s a must‑do. I absolutely loved it, but since I was the only traveler there, it might not suit party‑goers.
