The guesthouse was super comfy, we loved the social lounge with great music that let us meet other travelers. Thanks for the kids’ toys; our son loved playing with the host’s son! Great for exploring the lake and taking in the Fuji view.

The host was welcoming, the shared space was great for adults and the kids’ play area was amazing. The futons were comfy, rooms had AC and a Fuji-san view. Bathrooms were shared but clean, kitchen was well equipped, and the walls were full of endless stories—it’s intriguing. The photos, however, don’t capture it.

The spot’s close to the lake, the lobby even offers a view of Fuji, and the overall vibe feels pleasant. However, the curtains were too short, my room turned out to be a mixed dormitory, and the gap between the curtain and the bed let people on the left side see what I was doing.

The place feels cozy, but getting there isn’t straightforward. I had to walk over a kilometer with a big trolley bag from the bus drop-off point. Later I learned from the owner that a pick‑up and drop‑off service exists from Kawaguchiko station, though it wasn’t listed on the booking page. The owner eventually drove me to the station.
