The service, the food and the hot spring were all excellent, but the indoor spring needs better air circulation so it doesn’t get so stuffy and more comfortable while soaking.

The hotel was nice and the lake view lovely, with staff who were very attentive, but the sulphur smell in the lobby and rooms was very strong; many restaurants nearby were listed as open on Google when in fact almost everything was closed, and because the hotel only offered pre‑booked dinner we were almost left without any dinner option, so the hotel should warn guests to pre‑book elsewhere if they need to eat.

The place was clean and serene, with a private hot tub attached to the room and a free massage chair, earning a perfect 10.0/10.

The spot is great for checking out chuzenji & Yunoko, and the room feels fresh and modern. Breakfast and dinner were solid, but the bed was a bit firm and the beaded pillows weren’t as soft as we’d like.
