The houseboat is truly a beautiful and unique accommodation. Waking up in such a lovely setting in the morning is fantastic. Aside from the train noises, it’s generally quite quiet. We felt very comfortable here and even spent a whole day just on the houseboat. Everything smells pleasantly woody. It would be nice to have a few more hooks in the bathroom and living area, especially when you have extra towels to hang or come home after a rain shower, the space for hanging things becomes tight. We underestimated the 40–60 minute bus and train ride to downtown Hamburg; the location itself is quite peaceful.

The houseboat is very cozy, very clean, and the landlord is easy to contact. Unfortunately the mooring spot is a bit remote, and after 9 pm public transport isn’t very convenient.

“Erholsame Alternative zur Großstadt Hamburg!”

The décor is very tasteful and high quality, with attention to detail. There really isn’t a single fault, except for spiders – the Elbe in the city is a popular spot for them, so they appear everywhere. It’s not a problem with the accommodation itself but a general issue in Hamburg.
