The location was far from the two nearest metro stations (about 10‑15 minutes on foot), the shared bathrooms were uncomfortable and had few amenities, and there was constant crowding.

The price was cheap. The mattress was very thin. The whole place smelled of urine, which hadn't happened on other stays. It wasn't mentioned that the bed was right next to the door. I shouldn't have to pay a tourist tax; I didn't do tourism in Barcelona.

The staff were great. The shower cubicle had no door, it shared a room with the toilet and sink, so when you step out of the shower someone could open the door to the room and quietly chat with a person in the corridor.

Check‑in times were flexible and the staff were welcoming. Aside from the men's showers, everything was typical of a hostel. The place was clean. There was no door for the showers, just a curtain, and no space to dry off. You had to leave your belongings outside the shower next to the posters that read "beware of theft, we are not responsible for your items."
