The room was clean and spacious, but the staff didn’t speak English and the shower’s water pressure was weak; it’s also quite far from the beaches.

The people were great—a lovely family who would do anything to help, and the young guy working there was really nice, attentive and friendly. We expected a greater sense of privacy, especially to better use the outdoor space; the terrace is always occupied by a staff member or the owner, so it felt more like someone’s private home than a shared guest area, making patio use feel slightly intrusive instead of relaxing. The room itself gets very little natural light or airflow unless the front door and windows are left fully open, so drying beachwear and towels was difficult and they stayed damp throughout our stay; an outdoor clothes rail would have been extremely helpful. Note that the “deluxe” double room does not include air conditioning and has only one window overlooking the owner’s walkway, so managing the heat was challenging during our week-long stay. After raising the issue the first night, the host kindly provided a desk fan the next morning, which helped, but the lack of airflow was still a real issue. This review isn’t meant to be a complaint but more a heads‑up on the deluxe room to manage expectations; we feel the 9.2 rating isn’t entirely representative of the room we stayed in. We can’t speak for the AC room, though it could be well worth the rating. The setting is great, the building is charming, and the people are wonderful. Don’t be discouraged from staying here if you’re looking for a cheap, short‑term stay.

A comfortable budget stay for two nights; I slept well in such a peaceful location! The owners are very friendly and responsive. It’s a little off the beaten track, which made getting home after dark a bit of an issue for a solo female traveler, and the window didn’t open so there was no natural light during the day (though that helped with sleeping).

A beautiful historic villa in a peaceful garden; the hosts are the most loving and caring people. I highly recommend this place and wish I could have stayed longer <3.
