“Top Top Top”

The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the suites on the 8th floor offered a fabulous view; bus 48 goes straight to the Central Station, and the free shuttle with lines 4 and 7 nearby is great; the breakfast was extensive with a top view, but the egg dish was too thin, boiled eggs were cold, the toaster needed repair, and some tables were not entirely clean.

The ambience, the range of offerings, and the staff’s helpfulness were all very good, but a large beer costing 11€ was a bit steep.

“Quiet, clean, safe hotel with lovely views”

The Residence Inn was a lovely quiet, clean & spacious hotel on the outskirts of the city; a 10‑15 minute bus ride on the 48 from Amsterdam Centraal, with the stop a 5‑minute walk from the hotel, was regular and never too crowded; the hotel offered beautiful views and the corner suites were highly recommended; breakfast was lovely with many simple, tasty options; the hotel was very quiet and the beds comfortable; the staff were all friendly and helpful; I wish the room AC could be turned off and another coffee machine at breakfast would have been nice.

The room was fine, the rent reasonable, and the meeting place downstairs was convenient; it rained constantly while we were there, so we relied on Bolt/Uber to get somewhere, otherwise walking to the city center might have been fine; the breakfast organization was terrible, with little food, only one coffee machine, and no kettle of tea water beside it; the view of the industrial harbor was decent; we were still waiting for the elevator.

“Moins d anglais,plus de Français”

The location was good, but I regret not speaking Dutch; it is unimaginable to have to use English, even though I can manage it; for historical questions I cannot accept speaking English outside English‑speaking countries; I had hoped to speak with more staff in French.
