I landed at a typical road motel that offered solid value for what I paid. The breakfast was quite reasonable, parking was excellent, and the Wi‑Fi was generally acceptable. Across the street, a great steakhouse and a decent bar were always handy. The check‑in, however, was a nightmare: a credit‑card hiccup caused my original booking to be cancelled, and when I rebooked the same hotel, the system wouldn’t let me pay for the rooms even though they were confirmed. My friend who was traveling with me had to step in and pay, and the whole process left me feeling stressed.

The location was very good, but the mattress needs to be replaced. The breakfast was cold and there was no coffee.

The location was great, and check‑in and check‑out were easy. The ice machine on the first floor was out of order, and although the second floor machine worked, the stairs to that floor were unusable, so we had to use the lavatory instead.
