Breakfast came as expected: a buffet with a decent selection and good quality. The room was clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The check‑in staff seemed confused and unsure; the desk with the car‑details computer was either poorly placed or not visible, and we were told it needed completing just like the other guests who checked in behind us.

The hotel’s location is right next to Southampton port and close to a good pub.

Lillie, the staff member I spoke to, was brilliant. The bed was huge and comfortable. Other than that, nothing else. There were stains on the pillows—pictures are available. The room was bland and only supplied enough coffee for one drink. I saw staff at the counter because I just wanted to rest after a 7‑hour drive. I went to the bar a couple of times, and at one point I was left standing there for about 7 or 8 minutes while Lillie was busy with another customer, but another staff member, who was less than 2 meters away, didn’t acknowledge me at all and waited for Lillie to serve me.
