“Il Resort De Leughte è il luogo perfetto per trascorrere le vacanze in relax per tutta la famiglia!”
The resort de Leughte felt like home for our 14‑day stay, a gem amid Utrecht’s countryside near Gelderland. We booked one of the newly finished houses, with furniture, utensils and supplies almost brand‑new, because much of the resort is still under construction with new rental and sale homes. Every useful service is available and more: a pool that can be covered or uncovered depending on the weather, a restaurant, a snack bar, shower and laundry facilities. At the reception you can buy essentials or rent classic bikes, e‑bikes, cargo bikes and more. The staff were always very friendly and punctual, ready to meet any request or question. Even before we arrived we received all the useful information. The biggest highlights for us were undoubtedly the huge playground at the resort entrance—complete with a 5‑goal football pitch—where the kids went wild, and the forest trail, where you can fish and relax exploring nature. Our dog was also treated wonderfully, always greeted with a smile wherever he went! One last note: the resort’s location lets you reach major cities by car in a short time, being strategically placed: Amersfoort in 25 minutes, Utrecht in 40 minutes, Amsterdam in 50 minutes, Giethoorn in 1 hour 20 minutes. We hope to return next year! A suggestion rather than a complaint: our dog was rightly barred from the playground, so it would be nice to have a bench from which you can view the inside of the fenced playground while staying outside.
The place feels brand new, but the neighbors are noisy and cars park right in front.

The little house was very pretty, well furnished, with a spacious living area and a well‑equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The kids loved the playground, especially the sand and wooden structures. The new pool was lovely. The pool water wasn’t warm enough and we found some dirt in the basin. In the house bathroom there were no towel or bathrobe hooks. The mattress protectors hadn’t been changed since the previous stay.

The pool was excellent, the lounge was comfortable, and most of the needed equipment was there; the lounge was well‑equipped and cozy. There was no air‑conditioning, and during hot August days it would have been nice to at least have a fan.
