“Perfect little get away with some beautiful locations and views”
The place was quite clean and comfortable, the area was excellent, and there was nothing to complain about.

The refurbishment was good, I stayed there years ago when it was an original log house. Parking was lacking, but there were local options.

The room was cozy and the location was great, and I slept on the most comfortable bed I've ever had.

The spot is perfect, halfway between the lake and the village, and parking is a breeze—only two spots at the venue, but a large car park right opposite. You pay during the day but it’s free overnight. We parked 50 yards away on the road in the ‘disc zone’ and followed the clear instructions from the property about parking for free from 5 pm until 11 am, which worked well for us. The property has been fully renovated, turning a run‑down restaurant that had been empty for years into a place with good quality materials, an extremely comfy bed, quirky features and lighting, and overall good value for money. My only complaint was bumping my head a couple of times on a beam next to the toilet because we were in a lift room with limited headroom; a softer edge on the beams would help. I’m still unsure about key safes and codes for self‑check‑in, but it all worked fine. The location, room and price were all good. Finally, my wife left her phone charger in the room, and I got a text about 20 minutes after we left town, giving us a chance to swing by and pick it up. It wouldn’t have been a disaster if we’d had to buy a new one for £20 or so, but that kind of service makes a difference and was much appreciated.

Cosy and convenient spot. The floor board are thin so you can hear guests upstairs walk in the middle of the night. But wasn’t a big issue
