The owner was pleasant and food was nearby. The beds were comfortable. The whole pension is set up in an older style, but it is fairly clean. I recommend a deeper cleaning every 2–3 months (dust in window corners, batteries for the water stone, etc.). The room lacked a fridge, a cooking pot, and a hairdryer, which are standard for accommodation if you don’t have a shared kitchen. I also missed a coat rack in the vestibule. The pension isn’t well marked in the village or on Google Maps.

The only thing I liked was the room reservation (photos) and the reasonable price; the description mentioned the option for paid breakfast. After arrival we were given a completely different room than the one we booked. The owner was polite and pointed out the issues, but we received no compensation. On the shared floor we shared space with *incongruous fellow guests*, a fact we only realized during the check‑in process. At night I couldn’t sleep because until about 23:30 there was noise from the room and the common areas *incongruous fellow guests*. The beds were quite hard. The room’s amenities did not match the description (missing TV and fridge). The internet was activated only after entering the password, which the owner supplied about six hours after our arrival. Dust and cobwebs were everywhere in the room. The bathroom was outside the room (the reservation omitted this important detail) and was supposed to be *private* for our room. Later we discovered it was shared with at least one other room, and the fact that the room and the bathroom had the same do‑zic lock instead of a cylindrical insert made me feel unsafe, because guests in the room above us could potentially open our bathroom and our room. After this realization we all kept our personal items and valuables with us rather than leave them in the room. The toilet in the bathroom was partially broken, and guests had to check whether water was leaking from the tank into the bowl. No option for paid breakfast (as listed in the pension description) caused additional stress as we had to find a suitable restaurant that prepared breakfast, which was obviously more expensive than the reserved pension. Overall, the fact that you get less than you pay for, plus the *incongruous fellow guests* who don’t know how to behave, means we will never visit this place again. A ruined holiday, thank you!

I was amazed by how close the hotel is to the Polish border, making travel a breeze. However, I wouldn't suggest parking at the Red Monastery; it's definitely cheaper on the other side of the river.
