The staff were super helpful and called the JR lost and found to sort it out for us.
The food was amazing and the facilities were really beautiful.
I had an amazing time at Kinnotake - I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic escape.

“設備とスタッフは1流食事は3流。”
The facilities felt comfortable and the room was as spacious as a three‑room LDK, giving us plenty of space, while the continuously flowing white‑cloudy hot‑spring water was a real highlight. The only drawback was that the meals left something to be desired.
“Experiencia 12/10”
Everything impressed us so much that we can’t single out any one feature; the private onsen with forest views offered total privacy, the meticulously detailed room, flawless amenities and impeccable service made it the most authentic Japanese experience of our two‑week trip. The place clearly caters to high‑end domestic tourists, and we only met two other Japanese couples in the bar, so it felt like we were the sole guests. Breakfast and dinner are definitely worth trying at least once, as the food and service are well worth it, and after that you might want to stay another night and grab something from the nearby Famili Mart, which is just a short walk away. The only downside was that it rained when we left, but they gave us two sturdy umbrellas that survived the whole trip and now serve as souvenirs.
“Perfect”
I loved the food and the relaxation I experienced. I didn’t like having to leave; I wish I had stayed longer.
The onsen hotel was quiet and pleasant, with friendly staff and great food. The room had excellent onsen facilities, and we found it really nice just to relax and chill at the hotel. Nothing negative.
“Peaceful retreat to relax!”
The ryokan was amazing, set in a peaceful environment. Each room had a private onsen that added to the enchantment. The staff were attentive and the food was fantastic. Nothing negative—everything was dreamy!
