We were placed in the larger, more luxurious tent because insects had been spotted in the tree and needed to be dealt with, which turned out to be great since the bigger tent was truly better equipped. There was nothing to complain about except the building where we could use the toilet and shower, and for an extra 20 euros we got access to a gorgeous unit with its own shower and toilet right next to the four‑person tent.

The tent was nice and cozy on a well‑kept campsite. We really enjoyed our stay. A trash bin would have been handy.

We arrived at Heide Resort and checked in without any hassle; the tent we stayed in fit us perfectly and served as the launch point for our bike tour. A highlight was being allowed to park our car for free in front of the resort for three days, and we had absolutely nothing to criticize.

When we arrived we were upgraded to a brand‑new glamping safari tent. We were the first to try it out—super deluxe!

I expected a fridge, kettle, cutlery, and a bowl or bag to be provided, but that wasn’t the case; that was entirely my fault for making a last‑minute reservation without checking. However, the owner was so friendly that he offered me everything I needed completely free. Everything else was to my satisfaction. Half of the campsite is still under construction, so I was close to a building site, but I didn’t mind at all. Once everything is finished (and the plants are fully grown), the campsite will be even more beautiful.
