“Leafy, calm and welcoming - a gem in Canary Wharf!”

The location was a dream—central yet quiet. Walking to South Quay (DLR) takes about 8 minutes, to Canary Wharf (Jubilee) about 12 minutes, and to the Elizabeth Line about 15 minutes. A Tesco Express is very close, open almost every day until 11 pm with friendly staff, and a large Waitrose is a 12‑minute walk in Canary Wharf. Canary Wharf itself feels magical, with trees and a little park right in front of the building, and the Thames Path is directly accessible. The landlord personally picked me up at Blackwall station and showed me around, which was very kind, and the long‑term tenants were also friendly. The kitchen comes with a washing machine, tumble dryer, cupboards for plates and cutlery, and a fridge—assigned shelves for each room make it work well. The Wi‑Fi was outstanding; it held up for academic research and Zoom calls. The room is perfect for a single person, but as a double it can feel a bit small unless you’re out all day.

Great value for money and a good location!

“Super helpful owner, good price for the location, inside the room it lacks some stuff to make it comfortable.”

The price was cheap and the place is about a 15‑minute walk from all the key spots in Canary Wharf. The owner was super friendly and helped out wherever possible. The shower never got warm, there were only one or two sockets (the only one was about 5 meters from the bed), and the bed was a bit short for someone who is 1.88 m like me.

“Good stay in the city”

The location suited my needs, close to a supermarket and reasonably near transport. The walls are thin, so it can be noisy; I was woken up and kept up by other people in the house.

Next time, it should be made clear that it’s a flat and you have to share the kitchen with five other residents!
