The location was perfect, though there was a faint smell from the drains in the bathroom, a common issue in many Asian hotels.

Even though it’s almost in the center of Thamel, the hotel sits a bit back from the main streets, so traffic and motorcycle noise are barely audible; breakfast is served individually and is excellent in both quality and quantity; the rooms are roomy, equipped with an electric kettle and fridge, and the shower has plenty of hot water; the hotel opened about three years ago, so everything feels new and the whole property is very clean and well maintained; the staff are cheerful, polite, and welcoming, speaking both English and Japanese; the owner is very helpful and offers travel and business advice; overall, it’s an exceptionally high‑quality hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Kathmandu. There were no significant negatives; everything worked well during my stay.
