GianFranco was an unbelievably good host, greeting us warmly upon arrival and setting us up perfectly for our short stay in Palermo. We stayed in a shared apartment with three other rooms, our own room and bathroom locked with a key, and a communal kitchen area. It’s great for couples on short stays or those who spend little time in their accommodation. I didn’t realize it was a shared apartment, but that wasn’t a problem; just keep the noise down so other guests can’t hear us laugh and talk loudly.

“INQUALIFICABILE”

The location isn’t bad, though the inner street is dirty and not well‑used. The building has three tight staircases that are hard to navigate with luggage. The room assigned to us was a loft without windows except for a 20x30 square opening at floor level. In the bathroom there was a small opening that led onto the stairs, and mold on the wall made it uninhabitable; we left after 15 minutes. The host, despite collecting the tourist tax, didn’t record the check‑in and cancelled the booking claiming no check‑in had been made. I’m still waiting for the invoice. Stay far away!

“Fijne locatie, matig appartement.”

The spot is great—right in the middle of a lively, bustling neighborhood in the center, everything close by. It was quite noisy. From midnight to 3 am there was loud outside noise, and from 6 am it started again. I almost didn’t sleep.

The property sits nicely in central Palermo, and the owner was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy. The rooms weren’t sound‑proof, so there was a lot of noise at night from both outside (the street) and inside (other rooms).

Owner Gianfranco was extremely helpful and fulfilled every request immediately within limits, very welcoming and kind. Nothing was wrong—everything was fine.
