The place was calm, quiet, comfortable, the food was good, the staff friendly, the rangers prepared, and the cars were comfortable. The bathroom door was hard to handle.

The free upgrade to the luxury tent was a highlight. Giraffes, monkeys, and zebras roamed the grounds, and we really appreciated the staff’s friendliness. The wine list was small, and many of the offered wines were unavailable throughout our stay. The bar’s hours were very limited; by 9 pm it was closed and no staff were present. The public restroom situation was poor—some flushes didn’t work, there was no light, and the tent mirrors were dark.

We had a wonderful stay at this South African lodge. The food was consistently good and varied, and the safaris were a real highlight—the guides were very competent and the nature experiences exceeded our expectations. The entire team was friendly, helpful, and attentive, making us feel welcome at all times. Overall, a recommended property with great safari adventures and a dedicated team. The weather was a bit unpredictable, which slightly dampened the overall impression, and on our second day the local safari rides were cancelled due to persistent rain, but we were lucky to have booked the 20‑minute‑away Schotia Safari in advance.

“Great experience”

The place was very clean, the staff friendly, and overall a great experience. The beds were a bit hard, especially if you’re used to something softer, but for a two‑night stay that was acceptable.
