“A fuir si vous voulez passer des vacances sans soucis”

The location was the only thing that worked for us, and even that was just about it. When we arrived around 17:30 the receptionist seemed more like a night guard than a staff member, and she showed us a ground‑floor room with no balcony; we asked to pay extra for a better room, agreed to an extra 200 php, but when we checked out they suddenly demanded 1000 php (about €15) non‑negotiable, which is huge for this area. The rooms are poorly insulated, so you won’t find any quiet there, and the bathroom is bare‑bones with three shower heads of which only one actually works and it has no pressure. Breakfast is plentiful but limited to rice, meat and egg, with no juice or fruit at all.

“Overall a pleasant, relaxing stay in the outskirts of Alona beach”

The room was spacious, the bed comfy, the shower powerful, and the area quiet. Even though it sits on the outskirts of Alona beach, getting to the town centre by tuk‑tuk is quick and cheap, and the reception staff can arrange one for you instantly. Breakfast could use improvement; we only found savory options during our stay, aside from a few jars of jam.

The staff were friendly and helpful, arranging transport to the town for us. There were a few loungers by the pool and towels provided for them. Unfortunately, the hotel is far from the action and a vehicle is essential; the final stretch of road to the hotel is unpaved and very bumpy. Breakfast consisted of eggs in various styles, either with rice or toast and a meat side, plus fruit, which over time became a bit dull, though acceptable for a short stay.

“Excellent hotel”

The hotel is excellent; we were already staying there for a second time. The people and host were lovely. Thank you for hosting us. Hope to return.
