“Urlaub in Vilpian, v.16.08.-30.08.26”
This place we chose for our holiday sits on a quiet side street with an atrium feel. At arrival, Fr. Tinkhauser greeted us warmly and stayed engaged with us throughout the two weeks, which was very pleasant. We were treated to apples, apple juice, and homemade cakes, and the highlight was an invitation to a coffee gathering in the Tinkhauser family garden. The apartment is on the first floor, accessed by stairs, but because it’s in the family house, you feel private. The best feature is the air conditioning, essential in summer in South Tyrol. We also had a balcony that we used for breakfast. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen equipment was sufficient for two people, though a toaster might be handy for some. The house is almost exactly midway between Merano and Bolzano, surrounded by vast apple orchards, and the public transport network is well developed, so parking the car isn’t an issue. We definitely recommend the Tinkhauser family apartment. Nothing negatively affected our holiday.
