We stayed in three tatami rooms all to ourselves at this traditional house; the host was very kind, friendly, and helpful, even setting up a hot bath for us after a long trip, and all amenities were free. I’ll return and recommend it to friends.

I was greeted like family by the owners, who handed me cup noodles, tea, juices, water, and some courtesy tips. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms smelled nice, everything was organized and tastefully decorated.

The location is great, and the room offers a direct view of Tanshōdai. Walking from the slope you can reach the town’s restaurants, and the observation platform cable car is also within walking distance. In the morning you can stroll to Tanshōdai Honryō. The host is friendly, the service is thorough, and they even provided snacks and instant noodles. The bedrooms are all on the second floor, so people with mobility issues or elders might prefer the first‑floor tatami lounge. The path to the inn is a bit narrow and on a slope, so large cars need to be careful.

The host is incredibly kind. The rooms (I think there are two, but yesterday there was only me) are in a private house. There’s a room for lunch with a fridge, microwave, water, kettle, and various snacks. The room is very cute, with the mirror covered at night. The view is spectacular, the location is quiet yet close to points of interest. The bathroom has a 40°C bath that’s perfect after a day of walking. For me everything was perfect, but a couple of important notes: the road to get there is narrow, so if you have a large car you might have trouble; there’s a fairly steep staircase to reach the room.

The place is located in a fantastic spot. The host was super friendly and thoughtful. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable. Nothing to add.
