An ideal spot for a visit to Weligama. The stay is in a calm area with everything nearby. You’re taken care of super well! There’s no breakfast included, but they prepare it daily for you. You have to pay extra after the time… The breakfast is otherwise fine!!

Nirmala is so sweet, I even call her my Sri Lankan mother;) The homestay is in a nice neighbourhood, very close to the beach (30 seconds walk), close to the shops and restaurants. I took the room without AC, but it was still very good and not crazy hot. The shower is really good, good pressure, not warm but that is not needed with the tropical weather! As a solo female traveler I felt very safe here, Nirmala really takes care of you🌞 overall lovely place, will definitely come back again🤗

The host lady is very affectionate, funny, and quick to act when something is missing, and she’s always ready for a chat. The whole family is friendly and helpful, making my stay pleasant. The internet worked great. The location is fantastic: 2 minutes on foot to the beach, plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, and 5‑10 minutes to the city for shopping. The rooms with AC and hot water are almost twice as expensive, but worth it if the hot water is reliable (it keeps switching between hot and cold). The property is open access without a gate, so there’s no strong security against unwanted visitors, but everything outside is monitored by CCTV.

The place sits in a great spot for the beach and close to restaurants. The owner is very nice and helpful. The shower, while not warm, was very good. We picked the cheapest room, which was too small for two people; removing the table and chair would have left enough space to move around. I’d say it’s only suitable for a single occupant because the bed is a small double. Bigger rooms are available. There was only one socket, and it only worked with round 3‑pin plugs, which we didn’t have.
