It was very cheap—about 15 a night with Genius—so the staff were somewhat polite, and it’s close to the center (in Grab, because walking around at night isn’t very safe). The first room we got was filthy, with what looked like blood on the mattresses and cockroaches on the floor.

The room works for a small family; it’s not huge, but it’s enough to unwind after a day of exploring Ipoh. Service was great, but the room only has basic amenities. If you want quick access to sights, this place is a solid pick. A water heater in the room would be a nice addition.
