The Century is positioned overlooking the bay in a superb spot. It isn’t a luxury hotel, but that’s fine because we weren’t looking for one.

The hotel sits right in front of the water and close to everything in town, just 5 minutes from the airport. The vegan breakfast was great. The sea lions’ loud cries were hard to tolerate, though that’s not the hotel’s fault. The bathroom felt very dated, and the hot water came in and out. There’s no elevator, but the staff helped carry luggage up and down.

The location is great. The shower is awful—hot water didn’t regulate properly and the flow was so weak that you could shower for 2 hours. There’s no iron available, so after long flights your clothes end up ruined.

The lodge sits in a great spot, ideal for a few days in San Cristóbal. The front‑desk staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and the breakfast was also very good. The only drawback was the shower, which could have been better. Overall, I had a great experience and recommend it!
