The location is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful, the room is clean and comfortable, the shower pressure is fantastic, and breakfast is lovely. Nothing bad to say—just wish they had slippers, but that's it.

The reception staff were great on arrival, but later on a different team wasn’t as good. One day all staff were in a meeting and nobody was at the bar, so I left. Only two people served breakfast while a large coach party was there; the buffet wasn’t restocked quickly. The room was okay, but the bathroom in the bedroom was shabby, small, and very dark. Some fixtures, like the toilet roll holder, were broken and a lightbulb was out in the bedroom. It feels like no one checks rooms before guests arrive. After staying at three Hotel du Vin locations, none have been flawless. It’s expensive for what it offers and the bar prices are outrageously high. The staff were super friendly and very helpful when defending the hotel. Next time I plan a weekend getaway, I’ll probably look for another place.

The spot was great, but the room had tired marks on the carpet and sofa, and the toilet handle fell off.
