The location is good, but the beds are very old and hard, and the pillows feel like rocks—totally uncomfortable! The staff are not friendly at all; they don’t care about being nice or smiling. The beds are very old, pillows like rocks, not comfortable at all!

The location was okay. The staff were very rude, especially the receptionists and the cleaner. They cleaned at night and made a lot of noise around 2:00/3:00 AM, showing no consideration for guests, and when I asked them to stop they responded with “stop what?” It felt like they didn’t care about us at all. The room itself was okay, but there were many insects under the bed and around the pillows, which made it very difficult to sleep at night. Overall, the experience was very disappointing.

We checked in around noon and spent the whole day exploring Istanbul. At about 01:00 a.m. we tried to shower and sleep, but there was no hot water. The front desk told us the water boiler was broken and a service technician wouldn’t arrive until 07:00 a.m. We went to bed without showering, and it didn’t work out well. The windows and seals are so old that outside noise came in 1:1; we tested this by leaving the windows open. The next morning we spoke to the receptionist, who claimed the problem was only in our room and couldn’t explain why. He even accused us of lying. I had already let the water run for 10 minutes because some boilers need time to heat. What can a hotel offer for one night? At least hot water for a shower and a quiet room to sleep in. We had neither. I want a refund! Also the photos should be updated—they don’t reflect the current state.

The staff were very polite and helpful, and the breakfasts were plentiful and tasty. The cook, Yulya, was friendly and happily made fried eggs for my husband. Our dog was treated well by everyone. We stayed on the top floor, and on the first night the ventilation was on, making it hard for me to sleep, but the next three nights were quiet. The street outside the hotel is noisy at night, but that’s not the hotel’s fault, and it didn’t bother me personally. We thank everyone and will gladly return next year.

The hotel is very well maintained, very close to the metro station, and in an area with many restaurants and shops. The ventilation runs all the time and it gets quite cold at night. The extra bed is uncomfortable. I feel all the arches.
