“Wish I had booked an extra night. Loved waking up to the sound of peacocks in the distance. The hotel run their own tuk”
The location was amazing, and an added bonus was the night view of the temple. The best chef in Sri Lanka made the breakfast delicious, especially the coconut pancakes, which were light and fresh and could have been eaten for lunch and dinner too. Wifi, however, was an issue.

The hotel was lovely, the views stunning, and it was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the triple room, which was huge, and the bathroom was out of this world. Nothing was lacking.
“Peaceful spot in Ella”
We had a wonderful three‑night stay here with my parents; it’s a peaceful spot just outside Ella, and the staff will book you a tuktuk if needed. Highlights were two friendly mongoose on the terrace one morning and watching fireflies by night. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable and even got us some avocado for breakfast when requested. The rooms were a good size, always had hot water, and were lovely and clean. Our driver struggled to get the van down the road because locals had built a recycling point and made the road tight at one point, so we preferred to use a tuktuk in the evening instead of navigating it in the dark.

The staff always showed willingness, and the surroundings are wonderful in the middle of the forest. There is nothing I didn’t like.
