“Fantastic hotel in Kyoto, amazing staff and wonderful breakfast”

The hotel was very nice, with a great room and super comfortable beds, and the breakfast was incredible. However, because I booked through , I didn’t receive my BONVOY loyalty points.

朝食は初日は和定食、2日目はビュッフェにしましたが、いずれも美味しかったです。ビュッフェは食べたいものがすべて食べられないほどだった。 SPAは今まで経験したことがない空間だった。温度の違う浴槽とジャグジー、サウナ、露天でしかも温泉と申し分ありません。何度も通って疲れも取れました。. たまたま環境温が低い日だったためかもしれませんが、ロビーも居室もクーラーが効きすぎていると感じました。 充分な空間でしたが、ソファーがあるともう少しゆったりできたかなと思いました。 シャワーが２種類ありましたが、もう少し説明があると嬉しかった。

“Not a marriot standard luxury hotel. Dissapointed”

Breakfast is good with a lot of options, but ordering a coffee or drink takes ages and you end up having to do it yourself. The beds are comfy and the showers are good. This stay was definitely disappointing and below expectations, especially given the rates. Billing errors and hidden costs: at check‑out, I was charged for dinners I never had. Luckily I checked and pointed it out. Also an unspecified extra fee was added at check‑in and a 20% hotel service charge, also not disclosed beforehand. Management was unsatisfactory and privacy was violated: the manager refused to verify my booking voucher or help me, and our conversation was recorded without my consent. Soundproofing was poor: traffic noise was clearly audible inside the room. Service and staff: the welcome was cold and detached; the onsen staff were hurried and rude. Inconsistencies: the women's onsen lacked a cold water tub that the men's section had, and the pool opening time was too late for early‑morning workouts. Dinner was a disaster: hot dishes were served cold, salads looked like leftover breakfast, and the selection was far too limited for a buffet of that level. We were also urged to leave by 8:30, even though we arrived alone 40 minutes earlier, showing a complete lack of hospitality. Given the severity of these problems and the total lack of on‑site support, I feel cheated for paying for hotel services that were not disclosed from the start.

朝食、大浴場、庭園散策、周辺環境はとても良かったです。. 値段の割に部屋が少し狭く感じました。ラウンジに子供連れの家族がおられ、子供が裸足で走り回る状況があり、落ち着けなかったです。
