Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte Arpt-Belmont by IHG

Clean, safe, and convenient to college, but the pool was closed.

“Good location”

The location was convenient, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops, and the breakfast offered good options. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. However, the room had a strong musty smell that was hard to ignore.

“We feel deceived although you were highly rated.”

We were disappointed that the pool area was closed, and when we checked it was covered in green algae, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months—an issue especially bad since we were traveling with our 8‑year‑old granddaughter. The room was only average; the heating was hard to regulate, swinging from hot to cold, and even small adjustments made it uncomfortable. The staff were a bit abrupt and somewhat rude when we asked about the pool conditions, though the breakfast featured tasty cinnamon rolls.

“We had a room where the shower wasn’t working and within an hour of notifying them we were moved to another room”

Getting to the hotel was easy, but there simply wasn’t enough parking available in the front area for guests.

“Wonderful relaxing stay”

The staff were fantastic, especially the front‑desk lady who welcomed us warmly and the housekeeping staff who were very helpful. Breakfast each day hit the spot with excellent choices, well prepared and exceptionally clean. Having stayed 12 hotels in 14 days, this one was by far the best, and I can’t think of anything that needs improvement.
