“If you need somewhere to sleep with interruptions to your privacy and minimal expectations for facilities, this place is”
The place is well located and the staff are super friendly—shout out to Jory, who was awesome and helpful. Lots of cute little blizzards running around. The first room we got, a low‑tier queen/king, made me anxious right away because there were no windows in the bedroom, only a glass door with a privacy film. After a long day of travel we lay down, but 15 minutes later we had to ask for a room change because the chlorine smell was overwhelming; my throat and eyes were burning. We were moved to a different room with windows and more space, which was much better. I’d recommend starting at the studio level (with the kitchenette) so you don’t feel boxed in. That said, everything furniture and fixture wise is very run‑down/used; it was clean but not up to a large chain hotel’s quality, so you get what you pay for. The new room was more relaxed, but the toilet was clogged before we even used it, though it was fixed quickly. Another odd thing is that there’s no “do not disturb” sign. We stayed in our room all day and explored at night to escape the summer heat; each day housekeeping would bang on our door loudly and repeatedly until we answered. While I appreciate the towel offer, we don’t want to be startled awake during a nap, lunch, or generally. Once, we were asked if we had trash, we said “maybe we’ll take care of it,” and housekeeping literally barged into our room, past my partner, and took our trash. It was a nice initiative, but we hadn’t said it was okay to enter; we had said we were all set, and thankfully no one was ill or changing. It’s pretty unacceptable. We also had noise from the adjoining room, which the staff handled well, but then they rang our doorbell at 6:00 am to tell us the issue was fixed.
