The spot was fantastic. Street music played in the mornings and evenings below, making it great to sit on the balcony, yet it was also quiet when the windows were shut—perfect. The room was spotless and lovely, and we loved the bed and pillows.

Everything was wonderful, but the lack of a terrace was a huge downside – you should warn guests about that.

The first three days were great in every way: the room was nice, the location perfect, and the staff excellent, so I would highly recommend it. Then the lift failed and everything changed; we had to climb six flights of stairs up and down several times a day. When we finally checked out, I asked for help moving our luggage down and was told no one was available, so I had to haul three suitcases down six flights – a tough task for a 72‑year‑old. We left for one night, returned from Alberobella for another night, and then stayed three more nights, but the lift was still broken and the staff said it wasn’t their fault because they don’t own the building, so we were forced to keep climbing six flights with luggage, which was unfair and unreasonable.

The location was perfect, on a busy pedestrian street during the day but quiet at night, very close to the historic centre. The bed was comfortable and the room was large. Nothing to add.
