“Infektionsgefahr und Flohen”

The hotel was the worst disaster I’ve ever experienced. First, the receptionist at the front desk was an Indian‑speaking man who was rude and uninterested, especially in the way he behaved. He didn’t even greet me properly or say hello; I had to stand there while he was busy with his phone. Then he started communicating with me in a very unfriendly manner. He barely spoke German, and his English was Indian English. He couldn’t explain simple things clearly, so I had to ask for every detail again, and each time he answered in an unfriendly, uninterested way. He first told me we would have a room on a certain floor, but then gave me a room one floor higher. After checking in, the bedding in the room had clearly not been changed; there were fleas and other insects everywhere. There were also body hairs from other guests in the bed, and a pinkish blood stain on the sheets that looked fresh. The bedding was obviously not washed or changed properly. When I noticed the fleas in the bed that evening, I reported it at the reception. At that time, another tidy staff member of Asian background was there; he was very nice, immediately took care of everything, and gave me a new room. At 08:30 am the other guy started working at the reception again. He constantly spoke loudly in Indian in front of my door with the cleaning staff. He was supposed to stay at the reception, but apparently he was friends with one of the cleaners and kept running between the reception and the hallway, talking loudly and even shouting at times.

“Einmal und nie wieder.”

The location was perfect but noisy. The staff were friendly. The cleanliness of the whole hotel was far from satisfactory; the communal shower was full of hair and dirty, and the communal toilet was the same.

The place was cheap, very close to the train station, had friendly and relaxed service, well‑insulated windows, and I slept soundly.

“Zentral gelegen mit super freundlichem Personal und etwas veraltetem Standard”

The staff were super nice, and even though the hotel feels more like a hostel and doesn’t meet the newest standards, everything was clean and in order, and the price was unbeatable. It was very close to the train station. It was quite loud, but that’s because of the central location. If that doesn’t bother you and you enjoy urban vibes, it’s a great option for short stops when the train is unreliable.
