The owner was very helpful, so I felt at ease. Even though it was a bit far, Wi‑Fi was available, and there were a toilet, sink, and fridge, so I had no trouble. I appreciated the light breakfast service in the morning, but the quantity was small, so it’s better to book a nearby izakaya. There were no other complaints. The owner’s pleasant escort made the inconvenient access feel fine.

The place is the last house on the Bessho Onsen trail before the hiking path, so it’s quiet and surrounded by nature. We even spotted deer and Japanese raccoons. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. He doesn’t speak English but uses translation apps to communicate. He picked us up from the station and drove us back after check‑out. Coffee, tea, and a small breakfast were provided unexpectedly and were delightful. The room was Japanese‑style with tatami mats, futons, and sliding doors. The bathroom and kitchen were shared with the host, but he respected our privacy. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it.
