Unfortunately the rooms are in a building with an open corridor. On the ground floor there is a law practice, so we wondered whether we might scare clients on the way to the kitchen in the morning wearing our sleepwear. A rented accommodation should be in a closed area. At least the description should make it clear that you are sharing with roommates.

The room could not be occupied because the premises were locked and there was no way to contact anyone on site or by phone.

There was a cozy bed that let us sleep well, and a small balcony overlooking greenery. But everything felt too open; it felt like sleeping in a law office below the apartment. All the glass doors aren’t lockable, not even in the bathroom. The two bedrooms are assigned separately and the bathroom is shared, which isn’t mentioned in the listing. Where’s the privacy?

“Matig en beschrijving klopt niet”

The bedroom was fine. The bathroom lacked a shower head, and many black-out joints were visible. The owner used the kitchen heavily; her fridge was full of her stuff and the counter was cluttered. All the doors were frosted glass with gaps that let you see through, so privacy was poor. The living area looked more like an office. The description gave a very different impression from reality; it’s a shame it wasn’t accurate.
