The only thing I liked was the location. We couldn’t open the windows because of a swarm of flies, the room was basic at best, and the shower water splashed all over the floor. I read that the breakfast was “excellent,” but I can’t see how anyone would rate it that high. The price of €121 was totally overpriced; I would have been disappointed to pay €50 for that stay. The overall rating of 9.4 is a mystery, as it was nowhere near that. We stayed only one night and couldn’t wait to leave.

We had a wonderful encounter with the horses, and the preparations for our late‑night dinner were very convenient—truly a tailored service. The lodge has a lot of charm.

The location is quiet, the facilities are good, and the reception was friendly. The breakfast was hearty and plentiful, and the common area was pleasant.
