We had a great breakfast with a wide selection. Because we were there in the shoulder season, the pool area was spacious and the staff working at the bar, restaurant, and around the pool were very friendly. The spa area was very nice and the staff pleasant. However, we stayed over a weekend, and it seems common for company parties to happen then. It was extremely noisy and the setup at the pool area was very disruptive for us non‑participants. We couldn’t eat at the pool restaurant because of the extremely loud music. There was also very loud music on Sunday night from a club/ watersports place on the other side of the river. The sound carried well over the water, so we heard the party in our room, which faced the river.

Unique location between the river and the ocean, a large pool, the best beach, and in August there are big discounts on accommodation. The hotel is not new, the hair dryer didn’t work and a light bulb on the balcony didn’t burn, but after a call everything was fixed quickly.

The staff were friendly and the location great, but I was told my bill was $145, yet after checkout another $43 was taken from my card.

Dinner was disappointing—two pizzas felt like frozen and were not worth the price, overall below average. Breakfast, however, was excellent with many choices and a nice blend of local and continental dishes. I didn't enjoy the dinner; maybe try different options.
