They provided two water bottles, the rooftop was pleasant, free coffee was available, the bath towels were large, and there were shampoo, body soap, and a hair dryer. The air conditioning worked well, and the rooms were well cleaned and tidy. The staff were very pleasant. Wi‑Fi was weak, the shower pressure was good when it ran, but the hot water pressure was surprisingly weak, making it hard for women to wash their hair. The bed spring was directly felt and painful.

“Good hostel”

The location is great and the rooftop is nice for relaxing; there’s also a café. The men’s bathroom wasn’t clean, many items were broken and it looked run‑down, just like the room, which also had a worn‑out bedside lamp and other neglected details.

The location is good and the accommodation is beautiful. The noise from the neighboring room intrudes into yours—footsteps, clattering, or loud conversations.

“Superb basic budget accommodation with a lovely rooftop.”

Sometimes a gem appears when you least expect it, as in this un‑touristy spot in Nakhon Si Thammarat. I love the new concept of inexpensive “box rooms” that have emerged in many Southeast Asian cities; they offer privacy and are better than dorm beds. Everything was spotless, the shared bathrooms were excellent, towels were provided, and the staff, though speaking little English, knew how to help. There’s a coffee shop downstairs and plenty of outdoor seating, so it never feels crowded. I adored the well‑furnished rooftop, DSA, which has a kettle, fridge, microwave, and good views—perfect for a cheap BYO stay. Bicycles are free, and there’s a self‑check‑in option if you can’t arrive before 6 pm (just let them know ahead of time). Good Wi‑Fi works everywhere. I didn’t find anything I didn’t like.
