“If you want a taste of true Asturias hospitality in a glorious setting this is for you.”
Breakfast is served in the garden overlooking the mountains, featuring a continental spread of croissants, toast, jam, assorted cheeses and meats, and yoghurt. Within a few hundred metres there are three cafés that serve coffee and tortilla, which we chose most days. The hotel’s garden bar, set in an orchard, opens on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday lunches in September, offering a gorgeous view and a friendly mix of families who can watch their children while sipping a drink, as well as quieter spots for couples. It also provides snacks, but it isn’t a full restaurant. The owners are fantastic—big shout out to Luis, who helps with restaurant suggestions in Llanes, local walks, sights, and everything else! Poo itself is delightful, with mountains on one side and beautiful beaches on the other, and the narrow‑gauge train is just two hundred metres away. Don’t expect five‑star luxury—this is a rural Casa/hotel—but you can expect a great time. It’s a twenty‑minute walk at most into Llanes, and when you return you’ll hear cowbells again. Very pleased to have ended up here. The shower pressure was a bit low, but that’s not a deal‑breaker.
