Good value for money, ideal spot to visit Cilaos, bathroom clean but kitchen average. Nice chatting with other guests by the fireplace. The dormitory was damp and cold, no heating, bedding was fine, but there was no key to lock the dorm.
The scenery is remarkable, with panoramic views of the Piton des Neiges mountain.
The hosts were friendly and responsive, and the sunny terrace was lovely. The room felt a bit chilly in winter. Some kitchen appliances weren't clean enough. The location is great for hiking the Piton des Neiges, but the cottage isn't in Cilaos center.

Arriving, we found ourselves with drunk roommates, a kitchen overflowing with bottles, and music blasting from the car. The weather didn't let us go out, so we stayed in a room and endured it until we decided to leave. We chose Cilaos for peace, but when people want to create their own vibe, they should rent the whole cottage to avoid disturbing others. A rule should be set so guests can coexist calmly. Really disappointed by the lack of respect. I understand they wanted a short party weekend, but the accommodation wasn't suitable. We packed our bags and left. We booked two nights but stayed only about an hour. Huge letdown for us coming from the mainland.
