The building was lovely, full of character, great for a glass of wine in the evening, and the breakfast was delicious; I felt very comfortable staying on my own. The staff were lovely and welcoming, though the room was a little chilly, the heater worked well to warm it.

The staff and breakfast were brilliant, nothing to fault. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the reasonably priced car park. The beds in room 3 are too hard, and the room décor feels tired. There are big holes in the bathroom wall under the towel rail, and when we flushed the toilet a sewage smell came up through the shower plug hole. The window catch is broken, and I can’t reach the plug sockets next to the bed without moving the bed or the bedside cabinet.

The refurbished old inn was nice with great food, but the rooms were quite small and cold; the radiators didn’t work, and we only found an oil‑fired mobile one with a wobbly wheel, feeling like a rental let. The main bathroom light was out, and at night we weren’t told about the night entrance or that the pub door was locked until 7:30, which was inconvenient when we needed to get down quickly for breakfast before a flight.

Great location and close to centre. No parking but large carpark 3 mins away and with cctv. Breakfast was lush and two ladies running it at very polite. We arrived and went out for tea and stretch h our legs. Came back just after 8pm and wife went up to room. I was going to get two drinks to take to room as night cap, only to be told no beers on tap as cleaning pipes n seemed pleased I could not get a drink as they shut at 9:30. Should have stayed at local Wetherspoon only down road. Disappointed with this as I was willing to spend money in there own bar
